Junior Year...A Summary

As of Saturday, my junior year was officially over (meaning that Saturday was graduation, the last school event of the year).  This was a bittersweet time for me, as I watched some of my friends step into the next portion of their lives while being reminded that, in a year, that would be me.  Anyways, junior year was my favorite year so far.  I made so many new friends, tried out so many things, and had some awesome adventures.  So I thought I would do a "Junior Year Summary" of sorts...mainly just listing my favorite (and not so favorite) events from this year.  Here I go!

-First year being in the INCA National Honor Society

-Elected Secretary of the INCA National Honor Society (our executive committee was awesome!)

-Began tutoring in reading and cursive...This may sound weird, but I loved it!

-Went to my first school dance where I met people who would later be some of my closest friends...although I still can't dance

-Made it through my first semester of an AP class...yay!

-Toured University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana...only four more to go!

-Joined Student Government, where I had a lot of fun and made even more friends! :)

-Continued Viola's travels for history class (I loved writing her stories)

-Was disappointed when Prom was cancelled...maybe next year!

-Narrowed my colleges down to six--finally, lol!

-Took the SAT...and scored well on it! *sigh of relief*

-Took my first AP exam...I won't have that score until July (wish me luck!) :)

-Gave my speech at the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony as the Secretary of the INCA Chapter of the NHS...and had a blast with all of my friends!

-Surprised our adviser and former co-adviser with a gift and cards as a token of our appreciation for their hard work.

-Served breakfast to our teachers at our Teacher Appreciation Brunch...we have some awesome teachers, and I love being able to see and talk to them.  :)  I also had a blast with my friends, lol.

-Attended our first INCA field day; talked with some of my teachers, played an aggressive game of Frisbee with my friends, and ate (what could be better?)

-Managed to finish the entire school year (including my AP and Honors courses) with straight A's...that's a first!  Whoo hoo!

-Watched several of my friends receive their diploma at graduation, and made some new friends while serving with Student Government

-Was asked by one of my guy friends if I had a boyfriend...considering I can't even court for another 7 months, my answer was no.

-Went to my friend's graduation party--ah, that'll be me in a year!

So, this was pretty much the excitement of my junior year...of course, I spared you the details of my previously 14-hour now 24-hour workweek and the seemingly endless hours of working on projects (it's not really that interesting to you, is it?).  Since I love talking about school and everything that we've done in school, I figured you all should at least know why I love it so much.  Well, here's your explanation!  ;)  The greatest part is that the best is still yet to come (senior year, here I come!). :)
